Hoe Lawyers - Volunteer Paralegal Opportunity

About Hoe Lawyers:

Hoe Lawyers is a growing mid-sized law firm located at Adelaide House, 200 Adelaide Terrace, East Perth.

They are currently welcoming applications from law students keen on expanding their knowledge and experience of legal practice on a part-time basis (at least 1 day a week) as a Volunteer Paralegal for no less than 10 days total.

They practise in the following areas:

• Family Law;

• Estate Law;

• Commercial/Contract Law;

• Criminal Law including traffic matters;

• Personal Injuries; and

• Litigation.

About You:

• At least a 2nd year law student;

• Possess strong research skills;

• Demonstrate a high level of academic achievement;

• Work well in a team yet still capable of working independently;

• Be an excellent verbal and written communicator; and

• Display a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

About the Role:

• Conduct legal research and produce research memos;

• Assist in the drafting and filing of court documents;

• Liaise with clients (verbally and in writing); and

• Undertake day-to-day administrative tasks.
